Individual performance

Sometimes, extra information or a different approach is required to be sure of making the right decision. EEK takes on a range of consultancy cases and works directly with you and the individuals concerned.

For example, we are often asked to "run the ruler" over potential new recruits (typically at senior levels or for especially critical roles.) We help to make better recruitment decisions by matching candidates to jobs and organisational culture. We focus on identifying and controlling potential risk areas and help you choose only those people who are going to behave in the way you value. We also conduct psychometric assessments for either selection or development purposes and can extend this to include ongoing coaching for targeted development.

Typical assignments

Assessing an individual's behavioural, emotional, attitudinal and intellectual potential for selection, promotion or succession planning purposes, using the best combination of psychometric profiling and competency-based behavioural interviewing.

Targeting and developing an individual's managerial performance using a combination of 360° feedback, performance history and track record, psychometric assessment, one to one coaching, career aspirations and development planning.

Working with specific individuals in need of handling with 'kid gloves' - these can be high potential 'stars' who require subtle one-to-one assistance to help extend their skill set to prepare to meet the challenges of a bigger role, to address an imbalance in their skill set or to target unexplained drop off in motivation or performance.

Alternatively, help can take the form of strategies for addressing any 'problem children' whose performance has until now been allowed to go largely unmanaged. Whatever the scenario, the help would start with a thorough briefing and problem diagnosis, development planning and often, where there is a business case, include onwards referrals to one-to-one coaching.
